The following is general information that can help with your health care. |

Prescription Refills: We need 72 hours to process prescription refills. Generally, when you are out of refills for your prescription, it means that it is time for an office visit or annual physical. Please pay attention to your prescriptions and schedule your follow up appointment before you run out of medications. Telephone Calls: Our providers are busy with patient visits during the day. If you call and leave a message for your provider, we will do our best to return the call that day, however non-urgent calls may take 48 hours to return. Physical Exams: We are glad to offer Complete Physical Exams as a way to identify problems early. This involves a complete medical history, including a Family Medical History, along with a comprehensive exam and testing recommendations appropriate to one's age. This usually takes about 30 minutes or more. If medical problems are discovered and discussed, or if chronic medical conditions are discussed, then the visit takes longer and additional charges may apply. We feel it works out better for you to keep our focus on preventive medicine issues during the physical rather than spend that time on chronic problems. We are usually unable to know if your insurance plan covers preventive physicals. You will need to refer to your particular plan to see if they are covered. We will not be able to change the code for the visit from a preventive physical to an illness code. Physicals for work (CDLs, DOT) and FAA physicals do NOT qualify as preventive physicals. These are mandated physicals with narrow focus, and it is in your best interest to leave it that way. Since these physicals aren't as comprehensive as a preventive physical, they don't take as much time and consequently we charge less. Unless your employer has made arrangements to pay for this for you (with a check or Purchase Order), you must pay for this prior to the exam. Insurance companies DO NOT pay for these types of physicals. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
